ADULTS - Botanical Printing "Next Steps"

Service Description

Once you've been introduced to the fine art of botanical printing onto paper and flower hammering onto fabric in our basics workshop, you will be ready to explore further with this "next steps" workshop. You will walk away with greater understanding of tannins, blankets, submersion methods and sustainable practices. We will: - Work with cellulose and protein fabrics - Use your prior knowledge in iron and tannin reactions to create different effects with and without dye blankets - Create a fabric project via the steam method - Create a fabric project via the submersion method This workshop is around 4 hours because your projects will need to steam / simmer for a min of 90 minutes and you will do a test of materials for the first 90 min. During your steam/simer time, you can take a break to run out for food, make a pounded piece, or simply relax. There will also be opportunity for you to purchase additional fabrics and stay beyond the workshop to do an additional steam or submersion. $85 - all materials + snacks + drinks provided
