PIGMENTS, PAINTS & PIGMENT STICKS
Having the knowledge to make your own natural, non-toxic creative materials gives you greater connection to those materials and thus your process and your projects.

We offer two different workshops for you to gain this knowledge and skill for making your own pigments from earth and plant materials, watercolor and gouache paints, pastels, wax pigment sticks and charcoal.
"Earth Pigment Watercolor & Gouache Paints," is for those who simply want to make their own paints and learn about the pigments.
"Pigments, Paints & Pigment Sticks" workshop for those who want a deep dive to learn how to make their own pigments from earth and plant materials and also their paints, pigment sticks like pastels and wax, and charcoals.
PIGMENTS
In our Pigments, Paints and Pigment Sticks workshops, we explore the world of pigment making from earth materials to plant and animal materials (we only use earths and plants). You will leave with the understanding you need to find and process your own materials for making pigments.
PAINTS
We use earth and plant pigments mixed with plant based binders that create watercolor and gouache paints. The same process we explore in our in our Earth Pigment Watercolor & Gouache Paint workshop can also be used to make oil paints.
