Our intro to Paper and Book Arts Program is designed to prepare you for a practice in the pursuit of these ancient crafts in a contemporary context. They connect us to our human lineage of sharing information, ideas, art, record-keeping, stories and history.
* This program qualifies participants for our intermediate and advanced programs.
HANDMADE PAPER, PASTE PAPERS & MARBLING - $600

4 Days
Learn how to process both wild and commercially available fibers to make handcrafted paper, how to add sizing, use stencils, create past papers, and create beautifully marbled papers with historic natural methods.

BOOKBINDING - $600

4 Days
Learn to make several types of books with various bindings and sewing techniques. You will create cased-in and hardcovers, exposed spines, make your own book cloth and explore historic and modern creative methods to design your own bindings.
