Dive in, explore, experiment and discover the world of natural fibers and color! You will learn how to prepare and work with a variety of fibers to use in a variety of projects. You will leave this program with a solid foundation of creating with natural methods, materials and techniques.

LEARNING & PREPARING YOUR MATERIALS

Begin your fiber arts intensive by learning about the natural materials you'll be using, how to prepare and naturally dye them, and how to choose which materials you want to use for different projects.

NATURAL DYES & BOTANICAL PRINTING

​
Learn to use leaves, flowers and natural dyes to create stunning prints on fabrics and paper. You will learn about mordanting, irons, tannins and the relationships that allow you to capture nature's colors.

INDIGO & SHIBORI

Experience the exciting art of working with one of nature's oldest blues.

FELTING - DRY & WET

You will create several projects using both techniques independently and combined.
