BASKETRY FULL PROGRAM - $1750

14 Days​​
Join us for two weeks of discovery as you learn to weave together ancient human history with modern skills and craft pursuits. You will create with barks, branches, vines and prairie plants-designed fo the beginner to explore a variety of techniques and materials.

WILLOW
6 Days
Basket making with willow is an inspiring venture into feeling, listening, paying attention in new ways, and gaining an understanding of how a plant communicates with those partnering with it to create. You will learn both oval and round bases for stake-and-strand and the ribbed technique.
BARKS & MORE
4 Days
In this portion of your basketry intensive, you will learn how to peel and work with a variety of barks including Eastern Red Cedar, willow and black walnut. You will twine primarily with the prairie forb rattlesnake master and learn how to incorporate plants like cattails and wild vines
COIL BASKETS
2 Days
Venture beyond the traditional carrying basket into the smaller coil basket. From pine needles to recycled fabrics, you'll explore another ancient technique that includes flexibility and stitching.
