Visiting Teacher Agreement

“At Will” Relationship: I agree to serve as a teacher and perform teaching services that have been mutually agreed upon between myself and the Director. I understand and agree that I will serve as a visiting teacher on an “at will” basis, per one-off classes that I have scheduled. I can decline teaching at any time and the Director can decline my teaching services at any time.

Compensation: I acknowledge and agree that I am providing services at a pre-agreed-upon rate between myself and the Director. I understand there will be a 25% studio fee added for each class/workshop that I teach, so I will set my rate accordingly. I understand that none of the terms outlined in this Agreement or any money paid to me will create an employment relationship between myself and Wild Arts Learning.

Participant Payment: I understand that participants for my class/workshop will register and pay via the Wild Arts Learning website unless otherwise arranged with the Director. If I receive payments over $600 from Wild Arts Learning, I understand I will be issued a 1099 for tax purposes and that I am responsible for my own tax filings.

Provisions: I understand that I am responsible for providing all necessary materials to conduct my class/workshop. The Wild Arts Learning studio will provide coffee, tea, cheese, crackers and cookies. It is my responsibility to provide any additional snacks as a courtesy for my class/workshop participants.

Materials: I understand that the goal of the Wild Arts Learning Center is to share ways in which people can have deeper connections to their materials and use supplies that are non-toxic and as natural as possible. I commit to making sure the materials for my classes are in line with this goal to the best of my ability.

Community & Code of Conduct: I agree to bring inclusiveness, kindness and hospitality to all people who wish to participate in my workshops at Wild Arts Learning. I understand it is the mandate of the Wild Arts Learning Center to provide a warm, welcoming, nurturing and safe creative space for all. I agree to keep personal views about politics and religion outside of studio and will do my best to redirect the group conversation if needed to ensure that safe, creative space.

I agree to provide either a handout in class, or a follow-up email after my class, that provides any resources participants may need to continue at home the skill that I'm teaching.

Liability: I accept all responsibility for myself and my personal property and release Wild Arts Learning and the Director from any liability to myself or my belongings.
