Create a one-of-a-kind sterling silver and locally mined stone pendant from scratch!
Service Description
Silver, Stone & A Little Bit of Magic Join Shanika Hartrum of Moonumental Jewelry Emporium for a four-hour introduction to silversmithing. In this immersive, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn traditional techniques used to create handmade jewelry while making a pendant that is uniquely yours. Choose from a selection of locally mined and cut stones, then learn how to form and shape sterling silver, solder with a torch, file, sand, and set your stone. Along the way, you’ll make design choices that turn your pendant into something truly handmade by you, including choosing a special intention that will be infused while setting the stone. With a max of six participants, this small-group workshop allows plenty of time for individual guidance and hands-on instruction. No previous jewelry-making experience is needed. You’ll leave with new silversmithing skills and a one-of-a-kind pendant (similar to the black and white example in the listing picture) made entirely by you, with that special intention of your choice woven into its meaning - a little wearable magic for yourself or a handmade gift with a story behind it. If you love the experience and want to continue learning, Shanika will be back to the Wild Arts Learning Center for multi-day beginner, intermediate and advanced workshops in 2027!
