KIDS - Free Nature Journaling Day

Come for some outside time, nature journal fun and community!

Service Description

Students will enjoy time and space to observe nature and creatively express their observations in their journals. What to Bring: - Journal - Any supplies they wish to use beside colored pencils (those are provided) - Snacks and drinks - Outdoor dress and shoes - Camping chair or blanket (Consider ticks and chiggars. We will be in the grass and field, so bug-spraying clothing prior to arrival is recommended! We try not to do too much spraying on the property because many people spraying at one time can impact our beneficial insect population. However, if you forget, don't worry. You can spray on location.) What is provided: - Colored pencils - Clipboards for drawing outside - Guidance at the beginning of the session on observation and recording Ages 8+ For ages 10+, drop-off is available with a parent/guardian waiver/liability form signed. Ages under 10 require a parent or guardian to be present. Bring your pad and journal along with your kids! This event is held at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO.
