Herbal Salves with Marqueta Graham

Service Description

We will explore the history of salve-making and the many different types of salve and their uses. Participants will learn several different methods, including the alcohol intermediary method, as they observe a demonstration. Participants will take home an instruction sheet and supplies to make a calendula salve: calendula blossoms, beeswax, oil, a jar for infusing, tins for the final product, and a tin of completed salve to use while waiting for the infusion. About your instructor: Marquetta received her Master Herbalist training from The School of Natural Healing. She raised seven children using the knowledge she gained in her herbal education. Currently, she serves as a community herbalist near Mansfield. Materials + snacks + drinks provided This is a class for adults, hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For locals, we are just out east Sunshine, around the bend from Turners Station, off J. The address is emailed upon booking.
