Bookbinding: French Link & Coptic Stitch
Learn how to combine the decorative French link and Coptic stitch techniques for binding.
Service Description
From creating your book cover to folding every signature and putting it all together, your creativity and hand will be in every step of the process. You will first choose multi-media paper or white journaling paper, depending on the book you'd like to make (you can also incorporate handmade paper from the Wild Arts studio). Next, you will make the covers of your book and fold your signatures. Then, we stitch! We will create templates for our sewing stations, learn the stitching process and then work until completed. All materials + snacks + coffee/tea are provided. This workshop is for adults and hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For locals: just out east Sunshine and around the bend from Turner's Station off J Hwy. The address and directions are emailed upon booking.
