Wild Arts Learning Center

Service Description

This workshop is focused on the art of making natural, non-toxic watercolor paints. Participants will learn how easy it is to make their own natural materials and become less dependent on petroleum-based paints. We will use a variety of earth pigments with a plant-based binder to make our pallets. NOTE: This workshop qualifies you for 50% off our online "Pigments, Paints & Pigment Sticks" program (coupon code provided in class). The online program not only covers how to make your watercolor paints, but also provides an opportunity to deep dive into how to make the pigments themselves from found earth and plant materials, how to make chalk and clay pastels and how to make homemade charcoal sticks. We also have this workshop in-person. Check the calendar for dates. Materials + Snacks + Drinks provided! This class is for adults (or teens with an adult) and hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For locals: just out east Sunshine and around the bend from Turner's Station off J Hwy. The address and directions are emailed upon booking. BOOKING: If you don't see available dates within 30 days from the day you are looking, click "Book" and the next available class date will pop up.
