Beginner's Loom Weaving with Marty Corcoran

Service Description

In this 2-Day workshop, participants will have an opportunity to sample 4 weave structures: plain weave, rib weave, basket weave and twill using 4-shaft floor looms. Students will learn about looms, measuring warp, dressing a loom, and weaving.  We will discuss numerous facets of weaving, along with yarn choices. All participants will take home handouts and a finished table runner at the completion of the class. This workshop is for adults and is hosted by the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO on the Drury campus. Parking and building information are emailed prior to the class.
