This workshop is for the beginner bookbinder who would like to learn how to create their own journal/sketchbook with a hand-stitched binding. Participants will enjoy images, text and high-quality, close-up video instruction to learn about: - History of the stitched binding - Anatomy of the book - Tools needed for the project - How to use the Coptic stitch - How to incorporate the French Link stitch When you learn how to hand stitch a binding, you are not only creating a deeper connection with your finished book, but you are also connecting to the lineage of human information sharing by learning and continuing this ancient heritage skill.
