Service Description

Who is this workshop for? Anyone interested in kindling their creativity! Worried that you're not creative? That's exactly why you come to a workshop like this. You will be amazed at what you can create with a little time, space, materials and guidance. Already a collage creator? Come for all the provided materials and to learn some new ideas. This will be an afternoon of fun, experimenting, learning techniques for using found and recycled materials like papers, trinkets, fabrics, plants, etc..., and combining, designing and producing beautifully crafted pages for your handbound journal. Take home your new creation and fill it with your observations, inspiration, more creations or whatever suits your interests. In the first part of the workshop, we will create our book cover, signatures and binding. Next, we will explore all the ways to fill those pages with inspiration! All materials will be provided to you, with options like papers, fabrics, pressed flowers, tools, twines, ribbons, decoupage materials, brushes, paints, gesso, inks, markers, pens, colored pencils, stencils, stamps, stitching materials, beads, adhesives and more. You will have room to spread out, work and make a mess. At the end of the workshop, you can simply walk away and leave your mess behind. 😀 Not that interested in journals, come use all the things and make a series greeting cards and envelopes! Snacks, drinks and music provided. Location: Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO, just out east Sunshine, around the bend from Turners Station. Address is emailed upon booking.
