AULTS - Weaving the Wild: Basketry
After you've taken the Weaving the Wild Foundation, you are ready to make a basket!
Service Description
NOTE: This is a 3-day workshop with at least three weeks between the first day and the last two days. The first day of the workshop, we will cut our willow rods and learn to slip the bark. After the bark is peeled, you will learn how to roll it for proper storage to hang dry and for approximately three weeks (this is to allow for the bark to do as much shrinkage as possible). Once dried, we will meet again with our dried bark enjoy two days of weaving together! This workshop is limited to 8 participants. Hosted at the Wild Arts Learning Center in Springfield, MO. For local folks, we're just out east Sunshine, around the bend from Turner's Station off J. The address is emailed upon booking.
